Gunmen assassinate groom and his little son hours after wedding in Delta community

Unknown gunmen have killed a groom and his little son in Udu in the Udu Local Government Area of Delta State 

The incident occurred at old Ekete road, opposite Ghawan junction at about 6pm on Thursday, March 17. 

According to Punch , the deceased had earlier in the day concluded his traditional marriage before the assailants invaded his home and shot him and his son dead. 

Witnesses said that the gory incident forced traders, shop owners and residents to flee the area for fear of reprisal attacks.

The incident was reported to the Ovwian Police Division for further investigation while the two corpses have been deposited in an undisclosed morgue in Udu town.
