One student killed and 2 others injured during school Inter-House sports in Ondo

A student of Agolo High school Ikare Akoko, North East council area of Ondo state has died and two others injured following a gun battle that ensued between different cult groups during the school’s inter-house sports on Thursday, March 10.

The inter-house sports had in attendance many old students as well as students from other schools in the locality.

According to reports, trouble started when two rival cult groups engaged themselves in a supremacy battle.

After the unfortunate incident there was panic and apprehension in Ikare Akoko as parents ran helter skelter to check their wards.”an eyewitness said

The spokesperson of the state police command, Funmi Odunlami, also confirmed the incident and said no arrest had been made by police detectives
