Early Life and Education
Born in Ughelli, Delta State, Nigeria, Peggy Ovire is the youngest of six siblings. She grew up in Lagos State, where she attended Itire Nursery and Primary School and AUD Secondary School, both located in Surulere. Peggy started her tertiary education at Delta State University, Abraka, but later completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance at Ambrose Alli University.
Career
In a feature with The Punch, Peggy Ovire revealed that she began her journey in the entertainment industry as a model before venturing into Nollywood, the Nigerian film industry. Her debut film was produced by Uche Nancy. However, it was her appearance on the television series, Husbands of Lagos, that marked her breakthrough in the public eye. The show’s success catapulted Peggy to fame and made her a household name, not only in Nigeria but also beyond. She also contributed to the production of Rising Sun as part of the casting team, alongside Ifeanyi Kalu.
