The Portuguese was speaking in an interview with Piers Morgan where he confirmed that he regretted his decision to leave the Stadium. According to Ronaldo, he was disappointed with the way Manchester United dealt with the situation.

The 37-year-old left Old Trafford before the final whistle after he was asked to come into the game for the last three minutes of the match.

I regret that I left the stadium [against Spurs], but I felt he [Ten Hag] didn’t have the respect for me after the issues that we had before. I was very, very, very disappointed with the communication from Manchester United. I remember arriving home and Cristiano [Jr] seen me and said Daddy, you not go to the game?’ And I said that the club punished me with three days, [he said] ‘how are they going to punish you if you are the best in the world. I felt very disappointed. I regret, I apologise, I’m not perfect and made a mistake but suspending me for three days for that is too much, I think.

Ronaldo was suspended from the game against Chelsea Football and he was sent to play with the Red Devils U-23 team.
