Southampton’s defender Mohammed Salisu continues to turn down Ghana Black Stars invitation.
Before going to the big scene, he had the chance to play for Ghana U17 team in a World Cup qualifiers. Despite being very good in the preparation trainings and games, he was reportedly asked to pay money to make the final squad. He didn’t pay the money and missed out the squad.
Few years later, he was scouted and signed by Real Valladolid. He started with the U19 team and progressed to the senior side where he got signed by Southampton.
Many stakeholders have tried to talk to him on representing the black stars but he’s refused. Recently, Alhaji Grunsah, the chairman of Ghana premier league side, King Faisal tried convincing him. He told the veteran football administrator to stay away from the matter.
