Qatar2022: Lionel Messi Another Milestone in the FIFA World Cup

Lionel Messi has continued to show the world the quality that he is made of at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup that is being hosted in Qatar.

Messi scored the opening goal in the Round of 16 games against Australia. The Paris Saint-Germain forward player has been a shining light in the tunnel of the Argentines since the start of this World Cup.

The game is his 1,000th appearance for both club and country ( Argentina, Barcelona, and Paris Saint-Germain), he scored 788 goals and 338 assists (1,126 goals in total and still counting).

Messi (9) has now surpassed the number of goals scored in the World Cup by Diego Maradona, (8) only Gabriel Batistuta (10) has more goals than the 36-year-old.
