Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has waded into the controversy surrounding the invasion of Ukraine by Russians.
FFK who stated that the Russians will take over Ukraine and have their way because they are fighting against NATO’s encroachment, admitted that the Ukrainians are the ones suffering from the crisis.
Acknowledging that the current sanctions from the West have badly affected Russia, he stated that it won’t change anything as the Russians are fighting for their survival.
The former minister accused the west of reneging on its promise of not moving to Eastern Europe after countries broke out from the Soviet Union.
He added that people should rein in on their emotions and not try to swallow all the stories the western media is pushing out, as they are trying to sensitize people to prepare for a war that needs not be fought.
The former minister also said that while there are fears of a nuclear weapon being used in the ongoing war, all it will take for Russia to bring down other countries in Europe is turning off their gas.
He further averred that no matter how much people love the Ukrainian President, at the end of the day, the country will be controlled by Russians.
FFK also asked Ukrainian authorities to treat Africans fleeing from their country better. He advised African countries to carefully analyze the ongoing crisis and take a better position as the war will affect everyone.
